Image Guided Musculoskeletal Injections.
Key Information
-
Our experienced physicians use modern imaging equipment to accurately guide a needle to deliver pain relieving and disease modifying medication precisely into the region that is the patient’s source of pain, with minimal trauma to surrounding tissue.
These injections tend to be useful in patients who have not responded adequately to rest, rehabilitation and medications. It is also of use in patients as a last resort prior to contemplating, or awaiting surgery.
The type of injection (such as a bursa, joint, facet joint, nerve root or epidural) will depend on firstly the diagnosis. This is made using a previous XRay, Ultrasound, CT or MRI scan, as well after being personally reviewed by our doctor.

“I had a procedure this morning that I was extremely nervous about as I had never had it done before. All of the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Everything was explained to me and my comfort and safety were a high priority for them. The doctor who performed the procedure was so lovely and explained everything before he went ahead. I won’t be so nervous if there is a next time in the future.”
